Yes it’s the end of BS EN55022, this standard has now been laid to rest and taken over by BS EN55032.
EN 55032 is marked in the Official Journal as :
| EN 55032:2012 (new)
Electromagnetic compatibility of multimedia equipment – Emission requirements |
EN 55022:2010 |
05/03/2017 |
According to the foreword in BS EN 55032:2015, the 2015 version supersedes BS EN 55032:2012 (which will be withdrawn on 5 May 2018).
So I imagine that you could still use 55032:1012 for declaring compliance, but the product’s compliance might only really be valid until 4 May 2018.
Publication of EMC standards in the Official Journal has stalled recently, because – following a court case on an LVD standard – all the EMC and LVD standards are having to have their Annex ZZ’s modified in a big way.
A leading guy within the industry has given the advise to use the latest version of a harmonised EMC standard, even though it has not yet been published in the OJEU because of the delays caused by the Annex ZZs.
Of course, a manufacturer might suffer from an over-zealous customs officer (probably a French one) who refuses to accept a Declaration of Conformity that lists versions of standards that are not yet listed in the OJEU (even though they would have been listed, in normal circumstances).
If you are worried about this, I would suggest testing to the latest version but declaring compliance to the previous version that is published in the OJEU. Then, as soon as the OJEU gets back up to speed and publishes the latest version, all you have to do is update the paperwork.
